SNL’s Al Franken a Senator? The radical and periodically offensive comedian and radio talk show host has been locked in a recount battle and is headed for a stunning upset. Republican Norm Coleman’s request to count an additional 650 rejected absentee ballots was rejected by The Minnesota Supreme Court in the Minnesota U.S. Senate seat recount.
Monday’s court ruling will likely set the stage for the Minnesota Canvassing Board to certify Democrat Al Franken as the winner of the race. But Coleman’s attorneys have said they will likely sue if he loses the recount. It may be weeks more before the outcome is final. Continue reading
